Tree Of Hope 1946

By: Frida Kahlo

In this painting you can see there is light and darkness within this painting and on a stretcher seems to be a women wrapped in a white sheet with cuts in her back which I am almost positive is Frida, sitting along side the lifeless body is Frida in a red dress holding a sign that says “ Tree of Hope, Remain strong”. She is also holding a orthopedic corset which seems to have been ripped from the body while she herself is sitting up using the same instrument.
