The Wounded deer 1946

By: Frida Kahlo

This painting of a deer being shot with arrows in the woods with Frida’s face on it. She also included antlers but instead od having normal antlers she had them sticking out of her hair which is interesting.  All of the arrows have blood gushing out of them which could simply be to represent her hurting from all these things she’s had to face. Both paintings show her desperation and her pain. She has exactly nine arrows shot in her.
